As part of our community development activities, we are trying to explore new ideas and this year we came up with a camping trip, which is a maiden effort towards the goal. We welcome all of your participation and presence to this event. We have outlined as much as information possible regarding the details of the trip here.
Date 3:00PM Friday, August 28th - 12:00PM Sunday, August 30th Please note that the facility is available for us during this period. We hope you can make it the entire stretch of the allocated time; however we understand that many of us have other priorities. Therefore, you are welcome to join (and leave) anytime in between the said time period.
We have already made reservation for the Main Lodge (sleeps 24), Cabin 1 (sleeps 18 bunk beds) and Cabin 2 (sleeps 18 bunk beds). Photos and details are available in their site http://www.campdeepcreek.com/lodging.html
There is NO other individual reservation need to be made.
Since it is a camping facility they have mentioned in the contract that they may not be able to provide linens, bath toiletries etc required for the stay. So they have requested us to bring Paper Products, Dish Soap, Trash Bags, and Bath Toiletries and linens as appropriate. So it will be ideal if all families participating could bring few blankets, comforters and pillows when you come. Including any sleeping bags if you have any at home would help us as well in case we have more members.
Cost ·The total cost for the reservation we made is $2200 + tax for 2 nights ·We will be arranging food for the entire period of stay. ·The total cost will be equally divided among the participating families. ·Based on the current list of families that confirmed, the total cost (including food and accommodation) will be around $250 per family for the whole weekend; but again, this is not final.
Camp Activities The camp site is not by the side of the lake, but only a few miles from the lake. There is a soccer court and a volleyball court inside the camp. We will try to setup badminton courts or something that can be setup easily. Also, the camp site has barbeque grills and pavilions. We will plan to organize our regular "picnic games" during this stay.Families are welcome to explore activities outside camp like boating or fishing in the Lake. The costs of such extra activities are to be met by those families. http://www.campdeepcreek.com/camp-activities.html
Food "PICNIC" food will be arranged during this trip. Any special meals or food restrictions have to be taken care by the families. We are planning to publish a menu, if possible. Please stay tuned.
Child Protection Policy Child Abuse protection policy form will be distributed during the camp check-in and MUST be signed by ALL parents. This is the parent’s consent form on taking full responsibility of their children’s security including protection from any child abuse during the camp.
Participating Families We have almost 18 families already signed-up or verbally committed for the event. The list will be updated as we hear from more families. Rules Please adhere to the all rules set by the resort management. Especially, 1. Clean your site:Don't leave a dirty site for the next campers. 2. Put your fire out:Because you can endanger those around you, this is the most important camping rules 3.
